About Me!
Julia Alexandra is a YA fantasy author living in Orlando, Florida with her best friend, who also happens to be her twin sister. Julia writes fantasy stories with whimsically dangerous settings and found families chaotically trying to survive them.
She wants her books to resonate with readers on an emotional level, exploring themes of love, navigating loss, fighting for what’s right even when it’s hard, and building unbreakable friendships.
She has a passion for mental health stemming from her own mental health journey with OCD, anxiety, and specific phobias. She also enjoys incorporating her own experience with chronic illnesses into her books to help those navigating often invisible illnesses feel less alone.

Fun Facts!
I have lived in Florida all my life, and being near the ocean definitely inspired Midnight on the Celestial. But I am cold-natured, so it takes me forever to actually get into the water!
I have a lot of stuffed animals. A lot. And I don’t plan on stopping any time soon. I would say my most unique are stuffed animal marshmallows on a stick, an angry octopus that glares at me, and a Worrible (he eats worries, which makes him incredibly valuable in the writing process. His name is Squibby).
And yes, they all have names.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling. I am a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern when I’m not writing, and I’ve definitely used what I’ve learned to help keep my characters flawed but compelling.

I have a twin sister named Caitlyn. She has read everything I’ve written, and is always the biggest fan of my books. In her free time, she plays Skyrim, crafts cosplays, and bakes. She helps a lot behind the scenes of my writing journey and even crafted this website!
